Yesterday, we went to meet up with the Cardinal girls to continue working on their Zine project, which will be a celebration of their personalities, artistic talent and vision to create a world without violence against women and girls.
We arrived carrying interesting snacks, crayons and paint, and we got ready to start the creative process with Berekyha, our in-house slam artist. But before we get to that, we went to check out their fashion design project to which participated Sada, Santa-Félicia, Sabrina and Kelly, four of the six girls we are working with. The contest was organized in partnership with Youth Fusion, Aldo and Globo. The girls conceived of and made a shoe design, which was exposed in the school. Spectators can vote for their favourite design, and the winner would then see have a chance to see their project illustrating bags and other products !

The girls asked us to go vote, but it was so hard to chose… In any case, its a sure thing, we felt like we were looking at future big name talents 🙂
Once we settled in, the girls kept on with their illustrations, picture taking and writing of texts on violence against women and girls, and most importantly, we had a great time chatting about everything, about love, their future projects, what they want to do later in life and many other things. Sometimes, it’s just really nice to hang out between us girls!
On that note, Happy Friday!
